Growing up in China I would watch my daddy cook. He is a very good cook and I would help him and I learned how to cook as he made food for our family. Since then, food has become my comfort—I love to eat different foods in Asia and I love to cook yummy Asian foods for my family and my friends in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Thailand.
When I moved to America from China in 2010 I craved my own Asian foods. My family and I love to eat delicious food, but in America it is not easy to afford to eat Asian food outside all the time so I would cook my own Asian foods for my American family. I would spend hours each week driving to different Asian markets and then return home to cook—I finally realized I should open my own market...
In my stores I have to answer a lot of questions from my customers related to what ingredients to buy and how to cook Asian foods.A few months after we opened I started to teach classes, how to cook my version of Asian foods at my store. My classes were so popular I couldn’t keep up! Because of this success I was motivated to open second Asian market with a commercial kitchen so I could teach different Asian foods to more customers.
Now, 10 years later, I still see my customers come to my store to buy ingredients to cook my daily foods for their own families and I travel all over the state to teach groups and families how to make Asian foods.
I find joy when I teach people how to cook my daily foods. I believe that anybody can make delicious foods for family and friends—and I can show you how!
Call, text or email me today to arrange a cooking class either at my store in our professional kitchen or in your own home. Class includes a full meal in addition to the learning experience.
